The Tommy Hilfiger x Zendaya show celebrated diversity at Paris Fashion Week, casting only African-American models to showcase the ’70s-inspired line, including the iconic Grace Jones.

While jamming to her hit song “Pull Up to the Bumper,” the ageless supermodel and singer, 70, strutted and danced her way down the runway to close Saturday’s show in a shimmery gold bodysuit and metallic striped blazer.

Zendaya, who said Hilfiger gave her full control of the designs, drew inspiration from “iconic women” of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The collection featured Breton stripes, flared denim and leather pants, torso-hugging jumpsuits and a shimmering pleated silken gown with a cape.

The catwalk queens did not stop there. Pioneering models Beverly Johnson, 66, the first African-American model to cover American Vogue; Pat Cleveland, 68, often described as the world’s first black supermodel; and Veronica Webb, 54, the first African-American woman to have a major cosmetics contract, all walked the runway.

At the end of the show, the entire cast of African-American models marched down the runway to Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family,” prompting the audience to playfully sing along.
