Tim McGraw slated to Perform in Cuba

Country music star Tim McGraw is headed down way South for “four days of music and adventure in the city of Havana.”

McGraw’s 2019 Memorial Day Weekend leg, dubbed “One of Those Havana Nights” will include a concert at Mella theater together with two of contemporary Cuba’s most important artists – dance band Los Van Van and rock troubador Carlos Varela.

According to his website, this event was organized as an opportunity for McGraw fans to travel to Cuba along with their idol. “Though I’ve never worked with any Cuban musicians, I’ve long been influenced by music with Latino beats and soul.. I’m excited to meet them all and to hear them play. Musicians, from whatever country or background, always love to meet other musicians. We share the same love of music, so it’s just a matter of time before we find sounds that we have in common, and use those commonalities to build something new together.”

Prices range from $2,999 to $5,799 for the four days (May 24-27), which does include airfare, Cuban visas, taxis and other incidentals.
