The intro is over and NYC’s Dounia is officially on her way. The Moroccan-born singer-songwriter is a brilliant spark on the modern R&B scene. Her moods are moody and sexy, her voice drowning you in confidence. She’s a little bit street and a little bit sweet on her sophomore EP The Avant-Garden.

The 10-track release runs smooth from start to finish and stands strong on its own. There are also two features: one from Breakfast n Vegas and another from Kehlani, the latter of which, “Rich Girl Mood,” served as a single.
