Carrie Underwood se convierte en la primera artista femenina del país en ser la artista número uno del Top 100

Carrie Underwood ha tenido bastante agitada las últimas semanas. Su sexto álbum de estudio, Cry Pretty, ha hecho de ella la primera artista country femenina en alcanzar el número 1 en la lista Artist 100 de Billboard.

No es frecuente que los artistas country tengan este título. Y típicamente, la música country ha sido dominada por hombres. Antes de Underwood, otros nueve artistas en el género han ganado este honor desde que se creó la tabla en 2014. Artistas como Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line y Jason Aldean, por nombrar algunos.

Si bien este es un gran hito para Underwood y la música country, el récord no se detiene ahí. Cry Pretty alcanzó el número 1 en el Billboard 200, lo que convierte a Underwood en la primera artista country femenina en tener cuatro álbumes en el número 1, y también tuvo el mayor álbum de solistas de 2018, que deja la Invasión de la Privacidad de Cardi B en el polvo para el título.
