80s actress Brigitte Nielsen who made a name for herself as a strong female villain in movies like ‘Beverley Hills Cop II’ ‘Mercenaries’ and ‘Red Sonja’ made news off the set this past week, giving birth to a bouncing baby girl Frida – at the age of 54!

Brigitte and husband Mattia Desi, who is 15 years her junior, had tried for nearly a decade to have a baby. The child’s birth announcement was a real celebration for the entire family. Brigitte has told the press that she’s never been happier, and although she and her doctors were concerned about her giving birth at an advanced age, Frida, mother and dad are all doing fine. The couple intend to dedicate their lives to raising a child together, a goal that had set aside since they wed.
