The Rolling Stones song “Sympathy for the Devil” is an incredible tune that has been covered by the best musicians, used in film soundtracks, and will be 50 years old in October. The Rolling Stones movie of the same name was a late 60s film about the creation of the song. The movie is celebrating its 50th birthday this year, and there will be a special screening at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles this Friday, September 7th, with more viewings planned between September 13th through the 19th, at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The Rolling Stones film “Sympathy for the Devil” also included a special the director’s cut called ‘One Plus One’ and this version includes new footage and interviews surrounding the song and original film. Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman, and frontman Mick Jagger were affable subject in 1968 when the film was shot, and if you’re a Stones fan or simply easily entertained, this film is for you.
