‘Rocketman’ the Elton John Biopic is nearly completed with a release date of early 2019? British actor Taron Egerton will portray Elton in the movie and sing in the film. He’s been seen in France doting over his two boys, Zachary, seven, and Elijah, five, taking it easy after a long string in Vegas with his Million Dollar Piano.
Elton John grew up in a single parent home under the birth name of Reginald Kenneth Dwight, meeting lyricist Bernie Taupin in the early 60s. He and Bernie flew to Los Angeles to begin writing and recording, hoping to make it big. Let’s just say that Elton has surpassed all expectation; yes in 1979, Elton became the rock star from the west to perform in both Israel and the USSR.
One of the highlights for Elton was the opportunity to perform a free concert for nearly a half a million fans in1980 at the Great Lawn in New York City’s Central Park. He loves Madison Square Garden, having played it over 60 times.
