The Women of ‘SNL’ Rule in Emmy Nominations

The 2018 Emmy’s will air on NBC September 17th from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, guided by ‘SNL’ Michael Che and Colin Jost. One of the coolest categories of the night will be the ‘Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.’ Let’s take a quick look at this year’s exciting category and stars…

‘Saturday Night Live’ will be well represented as Tina Fey and Tiffany Haddish get the nod for their work on the iconic live comedy show. Glee star Jane Lynch receives recognition for her work on ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ and Maya Rudolph’s work in ‘The Good Place’ get her in the running. Molly Shannon, another ‘SNL’ star receives a nomination for her cameos on ‘Will & Grace’ while Wanda Sykes is in the running for an Emmy from her work on ‘Black-ish.’

In all, Tina, Tiffany, Molly, and Maya bolster the credibility of ‘SNL’ by being nominated in the ‘Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.’ The 2018 Emmy’s will air live September 17th on NBC.
