The singing star Cher has announced that she will be in the studio later this year to record an entire album of ABBA songs, given her rise in popularity with her appearance in the film ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,’ released in theaters a few weeks ago.

Cher has set her sights on the ABBA songs that hit the charts, from “Take a Chance On Me” “Mamma Mia” “The Winner Takes it All” and “Waterloo.” She has earlier released a cover of the ABBA song “Fernando” which pleased her fans, so taking on the entire ABBA discography made perfect sense for her. “Fernando,” was a duet with her Andy Garcia, both appearing in the ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,’ film. The soundtrack to the movie is now available, but Cher’s covers of ABBA LP has yet to have a firm release date.
