Tina, Neil and More to Be Honored in “Grammy Salute To Music Legends”

The Grammy is the prized possession of the Recording Academy, and they always their annual ‘Special Merit Awards’ in the middle of the year, honoring those that are deserving of a Lifetime Achievement award. This Saturday, July 14th, the Recording Academy will honor 2018 Special Merit Awards recipients with a wonderful “Grammy Salute To Music Legends,” ceremony and live tribute concert.

Those scheduled to be honored are Tina Turner, Neil Diamond, session drummer Hal Blaine, Emmylou Harris, and Louis Jordan. Non-artist recognition will also go to Bill Graham (legendary rock promoter) and Seymour Stein (entrepreneur in the music industry, label owner, and promoter) and composer John Williams.

The night will be one big name drop, with former Monkee Mickey Dolenz, Sammy Hagar, Herb Alpert, Trisha Yearwood and more.
