2018 Hockey Hall of Fame Class Announced

This past NHL season was captivating. Who didn’t love watching the Capitals win it all and the Vegas Golden Knights make it to the Stanley Cup Finals? Well, the offseason is filled with storylines as well, this week thanks to the 2018 Hockey Hall of Fame class.

In total, six names made the cut including Marin Brodeur, Martin St. Louis, Willie O’Ree, Gary Bettman, Alexander Yakushev, and Jayna Hefford. Brodeur is known for his many years of domination in the net for the New Jersey Devils while St. Louis made his mark in the NHL as an undrafted player.

Congratulations to O’Ree who was the first black player in the NHL when he made his debut with the Bruins in 1958. He would only play two seasons but made a huge impact on the league for the obvious reasons.

Congratulations are in order as well for Bettman, the former commissioner, Yakushev, a Russian superstar, and Hefford as well, who was a big-time star in Canada.
