Billy Joel Gets Political for His Pal Drew

It’s nice to have friends in high places; just ask New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Andy will probably call you to find out if you’re coming to his latest fundraiser, starring Billy Joel – Oh, that’s the friend we were talking about. The July 12th party/fundraiser takes place at Billy’s Long Island mansion, with the price of admission expected to begin at $5 grand.

This year’s Democratic run for GOV in New York is turning out to be very interesting, as the he current Governor, Andrew Cuomo squaring off against Sex and the City actress Cynthia Nixon in the upcoming Democratic primary. So how far does this Andrew Billy friendship go? It turns out Andrew was the official on record for Billy’s nuptials with Alexis his current spouse, and Billy has supported Andrew as talent and financial contributor since then.
