We’re beginning to wonder if singing legend Janet Jackson has any space on her mantle for yet another award? Janet graciously accepted the Icon Award at last month’s Billboard Music Awards, and over the weekend received the very first ‘Impact’ award from the Disney Channel at the ‘RDMA’s’ event.

The ‘Impact’ Award is designed to recognize the influence of entertainers in our society. The ‘RDMA’s’ broadcast was at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, CA Friday night, with the replayed broadcast the following day, Saturday night. Other stars who were on hand were American Idol winner Maddie Poppe, Meghan Trainor, and Charlie Puth.

In addition to her tour this year, Janet’s expected to perform at various festivals; the Outside Lands festival, the Essence Festival, and the Panorama Festival to name a few.
