The Washington Capitals have had loads of talent for years now and one of the greatest players in the game in Alex Ovechkin but they’ve never won an NHL championship. Well, the time has come! Ovechkin scored one of the Capitals’ four goals in their comeback win over the Golden Knights last night.

The game was scoreless going into the second period when Vegas would go up 3-2 but the third period is where it really got interesting. About halfway through the third, Devante Smith-Pelly scored an improbable goal while falling to tie it up. About two and a half minutes later Lars Eller would score the eventual game-winner.

It was an amazing night of hockey and we now know who our champ is, the Washington Capitals.
