The Rolling Stones kicked off their 2018 ‘No Filter’ tour a few days ago in Dublin, playing all the songs their fans want to hear; imagine the tunes they’ve recorded and made famous these past 40+ years? Here are a few of our favorites…

“Start Me Up” from the 1981 LP ‘Tattoo You’ is not only one of the most played songs in sporting events, its also was a song that began a few before it was released as a reggae song in the studio but abandoned until the producer of the ‘Tattoo You’ album found earlier takes and took it to Mick who re-worked the song we now know.

The 1969 LP ‘Let It Bleed’ delivered the album rock song “Gimmie Shelter,” perfect for those new FMs to play. Other than the song being an incredible tune, the most interesting thing about the song is the word “Gimmie” as the label tried to make the band correct the spelling; Mick pushed back, and from that point on that spelling was acceptable for all titles moving forward by executives and bands.

“Under My Thumb,” “Satisfaction,” and “Mother’s Little Helper” are often over-looked tunes that deserve a great deal of attention.
