Janet Jackson Makes History at BBMAs

Janet Jackson has always been one to break records and wow us and just the other night at the Billboard Music Awards she did just that. She became the first ever black woman to receive the Billboard Icon Award!

It wouldn’t be a Janet sighting without a few performances, which is exactly what she did. She hit us with “Throb,” “Nasty,” and “If” during the award show and we couldn’t be more excited for her to make history.

Previous winners of this award include Cher, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Prince, and Stevie Wonder in recent years.
