Sleepless in Seattle Celebrates 25th Birthday

The Meg Ryan Tom Hanks movie ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ turns 25 this summer, a film that has turned into a cult experience for movie watchers world-wide. Did you know that Tom initially turned down the role? In the last scene Sam and Annie finally meet on what we thought was the Empire State building; it wasn’t, rather a set built in an airline hangar in Seattle. The two principal actors have starred in three films together in their career, but let’s spend a few minutes catching up with Meg Ryan.

Meg has starred in ‘When Harry Met Sally,’ ‘You’ve Got Mail,’ ‘City of Angels,’ and has been nominated for Golden Globes, American Comedy, MTV, People’s Choice, and countless television shows. She’s signed on to be in ‘Picture Paris’ a project due out in release later this year. Meg’s been seen in New York (where she lives) with rocker John Mellencamp, adding to the rumors that the two will wed sooner than later.
