What a Year It Has Been for Ric Ocasek and Paulina

Ric Ocasek will remember 2018 as a year that represented the best of times, and a year that held the worst of times. He and his fellow members of the Cars were finally inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and now we hear he and wife Paulina Porizkova have separated after nearly 30 years of marriage.

Porizkova is 53 and Ric is 74, and are committed to their family, simply no longer to themselves. The two met in 1984 while recording the MTV video “Drive,” and became inseparable in marriage until now. The couple has twin sons, Jonathan the middle child, and 19-year-old Oliver. How civil will this split be? Ric, Paulina and family were part of the year’s Rock Hall Induction Ceremony. It looks like the decision to end their marriage is at least amicable.
