Prince Releasing New LP and Streaming in 2019

A few weeks ago, we spent time remembering the legendary Prince on April 21st, the 2nd anniversary of his untimely death; just stop and think of all the songs he recorded, the influence he had on the music industry? Now we hear that Prince’s estate will release new music from his vault, scheduled to be released in early 2019.

It’s been rumored that Price had hundreds of hours of previously unreleased music in his possession, confirmed after his death. Tidal the digital platform has agreed to stream a couple of weeks of his new music as the digital album readies to be released. The legal rub between Tidal, and now the Prince estate, was that the artist had promised to release music on the platform in exclusivity before his death, but had recanted that business decision just before passing away. Now, the estate and Tidal have worked out the details that will allow Prince’s music to be streamed in 2019.
