On December 31st, 1999 the world held its collective breath, hoping the 2K conspiracy of pending doom entering the new Millennial was folly. We survived thankfully, and the best tunes from 2000 live today.

“I Wanna Know” Joe
“Kryptonite” from 3 Doors Down
“There You Go” by P!nk
“Music” from Madonna
“Breathe” from Faith Hill
“Bent” by Matchbox Twenty
“He Wasn’t Man Enough” from Toni Braxton
“Higher” from Creed
“Try Again” by Aaliyah “Everything You Want” by Vertical Horizon
“Say My Name” from Destiny’s Child
“I Knew I Loved You” from Savage Garden
“Amazed” from Lonestar
“Thong Song” by Sisqo

Observations: Sadly Aaliyah had less than a year to live when her song broke the charts. A few of the artists remain relevant today, P!nk, Matchbox Twenty, Toni Braxton, Faith and certainly Madonna, while Sisqo, Joe, 3 Doors Down, and Creed have all experienced transitions.
