Hip-Hop and R&B Acts Recognized at This Year’s Juno Awards

The Juno Awards took place the other day and the winners were fun to hear about. This award show takes place north of the border and is considered to be the Grammys of Canada by many. This year’s host was Michael Buble.

There were plenty of hip-hop and R&B artists that took home hardware at this one including Kendrick Lamar, who won International Album of the Year. Daniel Caesar’s “Freudian” was the recipient of the R&B/Soul Recording of the Year while Tory Lanez won Rap Recording of the Year thanks to “Shooters.”

The Weeknd was up for two awards, Single of the Year and Juno Fan Choice Award, but it just wasn’t meant to be.
