The ‘Bammies’ Awards are Tomorrow Night

Sure rock and roll has the Grammy awards and the ultimate honor and the induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but we can’t overlook the Bay Area ‘Bammies’. The ‘Bammies’ are the Bay Area Music Awards!

Maestro Dick Bright will serve as the night’s host, the ‘Bammies Reunion Concert’ and ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow, March 24th, at San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom, with special guests Eddie Money, Pablo Cruise, Journey’s Neal Schon, Sammy Hagar, Jefferson Starship and more. The fabric of music that came from the Bay area is rich with talent; Sly Stone, Jefferson Pilot, the Grateful Dead, Carlos Santana, Huey Lewis and more.

Jefferson Starship will pay a special tribute to former lead guitarist Paul Kantner who passed away a few years ago, and Sammy Hagar will be inducted into Bay Area Music Awards-Bammies Walk of Fame on the 23rd at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
