The reality is, some artists aren’t very good live (lots of studio magic) while others are incredible in concert. Observations: You must see ZZ Top to believe what three performers can do live, they are astounding! Springsteen and Journey pay a lot of money to produce great live shows, whether it be a small coffee house of stadium. In the right venue, the Stones and Zeppelin are terrific, while hands down The Who works harder than anyone to put on a great show.
