Team USA’s women’s hockey team has been a real treat to watch over the years and last night was no different. In the gold medal game against Canada, we saw just about everything you needed to see out of a great team. They went ahead early before losing that lead in the second period and eventually winning in a shootout!
The game went into the shootout tied 2-2 where Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson would score the eventual game-winning goal. Maddie Rooney kept Canada’s last chance to tie in the shootout out of the net and the rest is history!
What an amazing gold medal win for Team USA women’s hockey, who with this win prevented Canada from its fifth straight gold medal in this event.
