Elton and Beyoncé Together for The Lion King Reboot

Although Elton John announced a three-year retirement tour, he’s done nothing to retire. This week we learn that he’s going to be working with Beyoncé, who has agreed to be the voice of lioness Nala, in the upcoming remake of Disney’s The Lion King. Other voice actors for this upcoming 2019 film are James Earl Jones, John Oliver, Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, and Alfre Woodard.

You may remember the Broadway original in 1994 earned countless honors including 5 Tony Awards, and the 1994 film earned Golden Globe and Academy Awards as well. There are strong rumors that Elton will be performing at the Royal wedding later this year, given Elton secretly shuffling his schedule around the blissful date, but nothing has been confirmed.
