Ellen’s ‘Secret Signal’ During NFL Championship Game

Did you know that during Justin Timberlake’s performance at the biggest sporting and television event of the year, the football championship, he actually sent Ellen a signal or non-verbal message indicating that he was thinking of her? Yup! Here’s the backstory…

While a guest on the Ellen show prior to the big game the week before, Ellen asked her dear friend Justin to either tap his shoulder or rub his belly, as a sign that he was on her mind. Sure enough, as millions of fans watched the Timberlake performance, it appears that he actually did a shoulder touch and rubbed his stomach. Ellen has become a television and social icon, and over the years, she’s earned nearly 30 Emmy’s, 20 People Choice Awards, and nine Teen Choice Awards.
