The Beastie Boys hit the music scene in 1981, consisting of three New Yorkers; Michael “Mike D” Diamond and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz, selling nearly 30 million records and breaking every stereotype imaginable during their career. The Beastie Boys won three Grammy’s and four MTV awards during their brief career and were admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2012.
