In honor of his birthday and contributions to music everywhere, there will be a special reissue of the all-star 2002 concert which honored George, performed live at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London, which will be released two days before his 75th birthday. You’ll be able to get the box set which features four vinyl LPs, two CDs, two-disc DVD and Blu-ray and a hardbound book.

The ‘Concert for George’ took place November 29, 2002, and featured the live performances of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Eric Clapton, ELO’s Jeff Lynne, Billy Preston, Paul McCartney, and longtime companion Ringo Starr. The highlight of the night was the collaboration of George’s signature tune “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” which Eric Clapton owned.

If you’re a big George Harrison fan, keep in mind that they will only make available 1,000 copies, and you can only get it by logging on to ConcertforGeorge.com.
