We just celebrated Elvis Presley’s 80th birthday in early January, sadly without him, but HBO will do its best to keep him top of mind with an announced multi-part documentary about Elvis Presley, due to be released later this year called ‘Elvis Presley: The Searcher.’
The documentary will take an unprecedented tour of Graceland, and interview over 20 sources that had a personal or professional relationship with the King. Also included in the upcoming documentary will be photos and footage from private collections from around the world that have never been viewed. Just how popular is Elvis today? Recently a crumpled up paper cup used and discarded more than 60 years ago by Elvis fetched $3,000 in auction.
