In 2001, the world was hit with a brand new professional football league called the XFL. It was gimmicky, crazy, and odd but it was still football! Unfortunately, the league lasted just the one season. The creator the XFL back then was no other than Vince McMahon who many know him from his days as the WWE founder. Well, McMahon has recently come out and said that he is bringing back the XFL and it’s not all that far away!

The league will begin in 2020 and will be centered around eight teams. These eight teams will play 10 games, all hopefully around two hours in length. Those are the details that he came out and announced the other day and it has us intrigued. Will the quality of play be near the NFL? We doubt it, but we are excited to see a more serious league that gives more players a chance at fulfilling their dreams. More is to come out of this one for sure and we’ll stay on top of it.
