Pat Benatar is back on the charts with her brand new song “Dancing Through the Wreckage,” after being absent from the hit parade for 16 years. The song has become the most talked about hit (used in the soundtrack) of the documentary ‘Served Like a Girl,’ a film that deals with homeless female veterans. The documentary details women in the military, and the lives they lead after their service to this country. The movie is getting rave reviews. There are approximately 55,000+ homeless female veterans in the US today. Neil Giraldo, Pat’s lead guitarist and husband of 35 years co-wrote the song; the two have enjoyed musical success for decades.

Pat’s had an incredible career, earning Four Grammys while having five platinum and three gold records. She’s also scored four Top 10 singles over her career, nearly charting 20 singles. The song “Dancing Through the Wreckage” has been on charts for a few weeks.
