A Tale of Two Marks in Hollywood

The two Marks, Wahlberg and Ruffalo are starring in exciting movies released recently. Mark Ruffalo stars in Thor: Ragnarok, Mark Wahlberg stars in the holiday reprisal Daddy’s Home 2. The two Marks couldn’t be any different.

Mark R. was born in Kenosha, WI, living his teen years Virginia Beach VA, currently living in Manhattan. Mark Wahlberg is a native of Dorchester MA, currently living in Beverley Hills. Although they are about the same age, they traveled different paths to fame and fortune.

If you look at the body of work for Mark Wahlberg, you’ll see an action figure, starring in ‘The Departed,’ ‘The Fighter,’ and ‘Shooter.’ Mark Ruffalo is a romantic, starring in ‘Begin Again,’ ‘Now ‘Rumor Has It,’ and ‘Date Night.’ Mark Ruffalo is a fan of smaller or independent films, while Mark Wahlberg tends to star in big productions.

Both actors grew up Catholic, both remain married to their fists wives, and both are fathers. There is one distinct difference between the two; Mark Ruffalo is heavily involved in causes and is considered an activist, while Mark Wahlberg tends to work behind the scenes, founding the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation in 2001, and supporting The Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women and Children.

Both Marks are wonderful actors who have their Hollywood lives in front of them.
