We don’t often think of Helen Hunt as being a controversial person or creating political waves for her views or actions, but these times they are a changing.
Helen is getting a great deal of backlash because of her recent speech at a conference in Egypt, on behalf of the World Youth Forum. At odds is the perception that her participation doesn’t fit well with the Egyptian government, often times accused of whitewashing human rights records and free speech abuse. Helen gave the keynote speech, where she criticized the American justice system for the amount of people our country tends to lock up.
Helen’s speaking fees for such involvement could be as much as $500 thousand to $1 million dollars.
