We’re sad to report that Jimmy Fallon’s mother Gloria passed away Saturday night in New York City. Jimmy, family members, and friends were by her side. During a #MomQuotes segment, Jimmy paid homage to his mother, crediting her for being the inspiration and driving force behind his success in life.
Jimmy canceled the Tonight Show taping on Friday because of his mother’s health, only to have her pass away the following day at the age of 68. Our thoughts are with him and the rest of those close to her at this time.
Other stars that have died recently are comedian ‘Ralphie May (45), Jack Bannon (77) the character actor who played Art Donovan on the ‘Lou Grant Show,’ Bob Schiller (98) the writer who was on the ground floor for the writing teams of show like ‘I Love Lucy.’ Although this actor died in mid-September, we want to ask that you remember one of our favorite actors, Harry Dean Stanton (91) best known for his character roles in ‘Escape From New York,’ ‘Alien,’ ‘The Green Mile,’ ‘Pretty in Pink,’ and 70 films overall.
