Motown the Musical is a touring Broadway show that pays tribute to Berry Gordy and all the wonderful stars of the Motown label. Berry was a struggling boxer in the late 50s and early 60s but borrowed $800 to start a new music company out of his Grand Boulevard home in downtown Detroit. Motown hit the charts with over 100 top 10 hits, selling upwards of 100 million records for the label and artists.
