Morgan Freeman has been around for years, starring in hit after hit and he recently inked a new movie role that we think you’ll be interested in. It is being reported that he’ll be playing the role of Colin Powell in a rather interesting biopic about him.
The movie will be based on his speech to the United Nations that took place nearly 15 years ago. The director of this one will be Ed Whitworth with Priya Amritraj and Addison Mehr serving as executive producers.
There is no official release date and the rumor is that the title of this one will be simply, “Powell.” Colin Powell was the first African American Secretary of State and is more than worth a biopic about him. He held this position from 2001 to 2005.
