Just yesterday we talked about some big names in music taking a knee at their concert and after looking into the situation more, we have found that it wasn’t just Dave Matthews, Pharrell Williams and Stevie Wonder who took a knee at their concerts. The list has gotten big!

Artists around the globe are supporting Colin Kaepernick and the civil rights issues that have been brought forth in the past 12 months or so. We saw it everywhere this weekend with Prophets of Rage all wearing his jersey and taking a knee at their concert. We saw De La Soul take a knee at their concert just like John Legend did at his in Hamburg, Germany. What a moment it was for Legend. You can see him here doing so.

It wasn’t just our favorite artists showing support at their concerts though. J. Cole went on social media to show support and essentially told us all to boycott the NFL by not watching it. Ice Cube used some choice words to talk about the situation and President Donald Trump. John Mayer did the same, but with no profanity.

Artists like J. Cole, John Legend and John Mayer are powerful because of their music but also because they have a voice that is more easily heard. We’ll be continuing to follow their fight in the coming weeks and months that is for sure.
