How Fifth Harmony Got Started

Fifth Harmony has been on the charts with various hits for a few years; they’re currently sitting in the Top 40 with “Down,” featuring Gucci Mane. The four members remaining are Ally Brooke, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane, and Normani Kordei. Camila Cabello was an original member but left in 2012.

Simon Cowell signed the girls to a record deal after they finished third in the ‘The X Factor’ in 2012. Before the X Factor big break, the girls were known as ‘LYLAS’ which meant ‘Love You Like A Sister,’ thankfully they changed their name.

The road can be tough on anyone, but especially rising stars, that’s why the girls form a circle before every live performance to pray for a few minutes. The girls consider themselves as full blown ‘feminists,’ encouraging female fans to keep their feet on the ground but reach for the heavens.
