The 2017 ‘Global Citizen Festival’ is scheduled to rock the world September 23rd, in New York City, featuring the Chainsmokers, The Lumineers, Big Sean, Alessia Cara, Green Day and more. The festival venue is one of the most popular in the entire world, the Great Lawn in Central Park. The doors open at 2 pm, tickets priced between $350 to $1,400 for the VIP experience.
The objective and concept behind Global Citizen are advocacy for the extinction of poverty in our world and becoming a loud voice of reason aimed at our Global leaders. The concert is actually the final piece of many events planned throughout New York, ranging from sessions, discussions, and other awareness events.
Hosts for the festival include actor Hugh Jackman, Kal Penn, and Bridget Moyhanan, and singing sensation Demi Lovato. Although you may not be able to attend the week’s events or festival of music, you can do your part by logging on to globalcitizen.org/en/festival/2017/ for more info.
