Often times, our favorite stars take a break from being rich and famous, turning their efforts to a good cause. Well, Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons and John McFee of the current Doobie Brothers lineup have agreed to be the headliners for ‘We Are One,’ October 3 at the Mayan Theater in Los Angles.

The ‘Playing for Change Foundation’ is celebrating its 10th anniversary, so the benefit seemed like a good idea to draw attention to the good work it does, but give it a birthday feel as well. ‘Playing for Change Foundation’ is the charity that raises money for music education programs around the world.

Be on the lookout for a remix of the “Listen to the Music” video, which will star the Doobie Brothers, along with international musicians from 12 different countries.

Paul Barrere from Little Feat, War’s Lee Oskar, James Gadson, and musicians from a dozen different countries are also expected to appear on stage for the benefit.
