It’s hard to believe that 2006 is 11 years ago. The movie ‘Crash’ was big at the box office while we lost singer James Brown and ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin to a freak sting ray accident. What were the top songs in 2006?

Conclusions: Although the hit TV show ‘American Idol’ dramatically helped Daniel Powter’s career at the time, this song would be his only entrée to the charts. Justin, Nelly, and Shakira are all doing well, while everyone else on this list has cooled off.
