As the Mamas and papas sang “Monday, Monday…” that dreaded first day of the week is here. The only good news is that this is the week before Labor Day, so there’s a day off waiting for us seven days from now. Here are your Monday, Monday Hollywood Headlines…

The top salaries of Hollywood’s biggest talent was recently revealed; Robert De Niro is paid the most per episode in a yet to be produced, untitled Untitled David O. Russell project/Amazon. Members of the Big Bang series are paid the highest of any television actor, while Ellen is the highest paid ‘reality’ or talk show host.

The Showtime network had tons of problems with their ‘pay per view’ event in the Mayweather-McGregor causing real delays in the fight, which finally got underway nearly 75 minutes after the scheduled time.

The man who directed the iconic movies “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” and “Poltergeist” died this weekend in Sherman Oaks, California.

Carrie Prejean, Miss California and USA contestant, was fired by the president of the pageant. It appears Carrie had failed in her responsibilities as a contestant and was dismissed mid-week.
