This Year’s Kennedy Center Honorees

The Kennedy Center Honors is one of the highest honors a member of the arts and or music society can earn with the most prestigious list of those honored and dignitaries waiting to attend.

This month it was announced that movie producer and creator Norman Lear, and musicians Lionel Richie LL Cool J and Gloria Estefan are the lucky inductees. Cuban-American dancer and director Carmen de Lavallade is also among the list of stars to be honored. These awards have been handed out since the 70s and its honorees range from Henry Fonda to Chuck Berry, The Eagles, Mavis Staples, and James Taylor (2017), to Johnny Carson, Sean Connery, Bob Hope, Brian Wilson, Diana Ross, Paul Simon and Tina Turner.

The Kennedy Center Honors will air on December 26 on CBS at 9 p.m. EST. Expect dignitaries from across the globe including President Donald Trump and first lady Melania to be on hand.
