Did you know that Elvis sang thousands of songs, yet didn’t write any of them? Well things are not always as they seem, and in keeping with that tradition, here are some facts that will make you wonder what is real – and what is not…

Did you know the Beatles hold the record for the most covers of Rolling Stone magazine – 32 covers overall?

The Doors were the first rock group to ever buy a billboard (Sunset Strip, LA) to promote a new album.

Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, Bon Scott and Steve Clark (lead guitarist of Def Leppard) all have alcohol listed in the ME’s report for contributing cause of death.

The hit song “Wild Thing” by the Troggs was written by Chip Taylor, who happens to be Angelina Jolie’s uncle.

Thankfully they changed it, but The Beatles iconic ‘White Album’ was called ‘A Doll’s House’ before the label changed the name.

Jimi Hendrix toured as the opening act for the popular Monkees in 1967.

Did you know that the opening guitar riff in the hit song “Layla” is Duane Allman, and NOT Eric? Try this on for size. “Layla” by Derek and the Dominos was written by Eric Clapton and is about George Harrison’s wife.
