Wimbledon is one of the biggest tennis tournaments of the year and just this past weekend it showed off a whole lot of talent in the finals for both the men and women. The weekend is over and Garbine Muguruza and Roger Federer are your women’s and men’s Wimbledon winners!
Muguruza defeated Venus Williams in the finals on Saturday, winning 7-5 and 6-0 to take home the trophy. Fans of the sport loved her aggressive play and credit that as well as her style of play on grass as to how she won on Saturday.
On the men’s side of things we saw Roger Federer defeat Marin Cilic to be your men’s singles winner. The championship was never really in doubt as he won 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 to become victorious Sunday morning.
