Rockers on Nielsen’s Mid-Year Charts

Nielsen has released their mid-year charts looking at streams, sales and just about everything else you can look at when it comes to music and among many of these charts are rockers that we know and love. Maybe the most important chart to find yourself on is the Top 10 Selling Albums chart and Metallica is the lone rocker to find itself there. What an accomplishment this is for the guys who worked so hard on “Hardwired… To Self-Destruct.” That one had sold 487,000 albums by the mid-year mark!

On the Top 10 Selling Digital Songs chart is “Something Just Like This” from Coldplay and The Chainsmokers as well as “Believer” from Imagine Dragons. They sit at six and eight respectively. Rock has had a great year and we’re looking forward to what the second half of 2017 has to offer!
