The Tony Awards took place Sunday night and there was one artist we know and love that took an award home! John Legend was a co-producer for Jitney and because of it he’s now a Tony winner! The play won “Best Play Revival.”
Legend has had a ton of success in the past few years and we now see it in all formats. He won himself a few Grammys and even an Oscar in 2015. Now his work on Broadway has resulted in him taking home hardware.
His wife Chrissy Teigen was quite excited for him tweeting out “John won a Tony!!! He has a GOT!” We’re quite excited for John as well. What a talent he is!
