The Pittsburgh Penguins did something last night that had not been done since 1998 and that is win back-to-back Stanley Cups! They took down the Nashville Predators by a score of 2-0 to lock in a second straight Cup. Patric Hornqvist scored the game winner with 1:35 left before Carl Hagelin sealed the deal in the final minute.
The Penguins needed six games to win the Cup with three of their four wins coming at home. The series had been highly contested with the home team taking home the win in the first five games. This wasn’t the case though in game six. The Predators played great, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Sydney Crosby and the rest of the Penguins.
