To become a platinum hit in the United States you must sell one million copies and just recently multiple hits have hit that mark. These hits come from Zedd, Alessia Cara, Coldplay, The Chainsmokers and Calvin Harris!
The new thing is to collaborate with another great artist to create total greatness. Two of these three hits have followed this simple formula. Just recently Alessia Cara and Zedd’s “Stay” hit that one million mark. The Chainsmokers and Coldplay put together the hit “Something Just Like This” and they too saw the hit reach 1 million sold. Finally, Calvin Harris’ “Slide” might not be his best hit ever, but it was great enough to reach one million sold as well.
Congrats to everyone involved with these three songs on this achievement!
