Friday night Metallica played a concert in Foxborough, Massachusetts and it might have been their best work in years. Not only did they sound great, but they paid tribute to the late Chris Cornell. As you know, Cornell passed away this past week.

Metallica did a great job of honoring Cornell by playing “Black Hole Sun,” one of Soundgarden’s biggest hits in their time as a band. They posted on Instagram a video of them performing with the caption, ‘@robtrujillo plays @soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun in memory of Chris Cornell. @Metallica #WorldWired #MetInBoston.” You can see the video here.

What a great gesture by the band doing this at their concert in Massachusetts. Chris Cornell will definitely be missed.
